Rules & Registration
Meeting at the Wayne Blough residence (5622 East 800 North) to review all the regatta rules, distribute provided supplies, and go over what is needed for the day.
11:00 AM
Boat Construction & Parade Decorating
Official boat construction begins! Materials will also be available at this time for anyone decorating golf carts or bicycles for the upcoming afternoon parade.
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Lunch Served
A complimentary lunch will be served at the Blough residence to keep the builders fueled up.
2:00 PM
The 4th of July Parade
The parade kicks off from the Conservation Club and wraps up at the "Blough Blunder" located at 5663 Saugany Lake.
2:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Boat Launch & Regatta
Head to the water to launch the boats and officially begin the regatta races.
Late Afternoon
Awards & Group Cleanup
Directly following the regatta, awards will be distributed to the winners. Afterward, everyone is asked to pitch in for a quick cleanup of the event area.
6:00 PM
Cookout Dinner
Join everyone over at Saugany Lake Farm (Mary Kay and Tim's place) for a relaxed evening grill-out and dinner, held lakeside at the lake house. (Approx.)
8:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Bonfire & S'mores Bar
The evening wind-down begins back at the Wayne Blough residence with a cozy bonfire and a fully stocked s'mores bar.
Dusk / Dark
Fireworks Viewing
Two great options to watch the night's fireworks display. At the Blough Residence: watch the show outside by the bonfire. At Saugany Lake Farm: perfect for anyone with anxious dogs β€” relax and view the fireworks safely from the inside lower level.

Boats must be made primarily of cardboard and tape.

No waterproofing agents (no paint, sealants, or wax).

Each boat must carry at least one person.

Life jackets are REQUIRED for all riders.

Everyone races together β€” there are no age or skill divisions.

The course runs out around the raft and back to the finish line.

Boats may sink mid-race β€” go down in style and you might just earn the Titanic Award!

Awards are given for fastest time, best style, most unique design, team spirit, and most spectacular sinker.
